Yoga

Yoga reminds you of who you truly are and why you are here.
Your natural state of being.
The intellect becomes quiet.
In that silence, clarity, calm, and a deep inner knowing arise.
The asanas and pranayamas ntegrate this calrity and stilness in your physical and emotional body.
Style
Each yoga class is unique and carries its own intention and theme.
At the beginning of each class, this intention becomes clear and acts like a direction finder that helps you move with awareness and presence.
This intention returns throughout the class, gently weaving through the practice.
Each class is complete, full circle.
Over the years, my own style of yoga has emerged — one in which I also integrate insights from other trainings and from the wisdom I’ve gained through working with shamans and healers.
Dynamic flow classes:
Rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Forrest Yoga
With a strong focus on the breath
Ujjayi breath (ocean breath)
Drishti
Bandhas
Attention to the body’s energy centers (chakras)
Postures flow smoothly from one to the next
A combination of standing, seated, and reclining poses
The intensity varies, depending on the group and the energy of the day
Moon alignment
Each class begins in connection with the moon, inviting you to live consciously in tune with your natural rhythm — in harmony and balance.
The postures flow smoothly into one another, and depending on the lunar cycle and the energy of the day, the class may range from a gentle, relaxing flow to a deep stretch and more intense practice.
The focus is on the womb space, pelvic area, and hip openers.
Strong poses, deep stretches, and heart openers are also an important part of the practice.
This class is rooted in the feminine principle.
Sun morning practice**
Ashtanga inspired morning practice (Primary Series)
“Welcome your day each morning and thank it each night.”
With the Sun Morning Practice on Friday, we welcome the new day and the energy of the sun.
The asanas flow seamlessly into one another, and the sequence is based on the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
We do the same sequence every week so you can move at your own pace and be fully focused on your own practice and alignment.
This practice focuses on the sun and the masculine principle. That doesn’t mean the class is only for men. Everyone is welcome.
** The class is high-intensity, for people who enjoy a physical challenge
Earth morning flow
The earth heals; the earth nourishes.
By consciously aligning ourselves with the earth and “grounding” ourselves, we can once again feel the earth’s rhythm within us.
In this morning flow, we connect with the earth and move in harmony with the seasons,
with the flow of life.
We focus on grounding, powerful poses. Asanas may be held a little longer to fully feel this power within yourself.
We draw the Earth’s energy into our bodies through the meridians.
Relaxing classes:
Focus on wholeness of the body and connective tissue
An invitation to turn inward
Cosmic Light
Promotes deep relaxation, stillness, and calm
Quiet Mind yoga
In this evening class, you take the time to be fully present — in silence, attuned to what is. We allow the mind to rest, sink into the body, and open space for the energy present in the field. The class is designed with attention to a gentle flow and mindful pauses, so you are not rushed or driven by performance, but instead connect with yourself. For those seeking inner calm, deeper feeling, and a soft, harmonious movement in tune with their own rhythm.
Yin yoga – dreaming
This relaxing evening class follows the principles of Yin Yoga.
Postures are held for longer periods, allowing you to turn inward and give the body time to unwind and recharge.
Yin Yoga focuses the connective tissue and encourages a passive, receptive attitude.
This practice is ideal for calming high (stressful) energy, becoming more grounded, improving sleep, and tuning in to your body’s boundaries and signals.
As the body relaxes deeply, it becomes a perfect moment to energetically open and gently drift away into your own inner world, on earth or in the universe.
Yoga XL
Walking with the rhythm of the Earth
Yoga XL isn’t an extra-long yoga class (so no 2.5 hours of asanas!), but a morning dedicated to attuning ourselves to the rhythm of the earth.
By consciously aligning ourselves with the earth, we can once again feel the earth’s rhythm within ourselves.
Whereas a regular 75-minute yoga class primarily offers space to maintain your practice, Yoga XL gives you the opportunity to go deeper. We take the time for breathing, asanas, meditation, relaxation, and the morning’s theme.
Every Yoga XL session has its own theme.
We end the morning with tea and a treat.
Individual or in group
Most of the yoga classes and sessions take place at my home, in the heart of a more than 400-year-old farmhouse.
A place that has always served as a sanctuary and carries a natural frequency and unique character. Time does not exist here.
Live classes are up to a maximum of 6 participants, keeping the setting small, quiet and personal.
