Moon Medicine – ceremonies
The moon sets the natural rhythm on Earth. It brings harmony and balance, both within ourselves and in the world around us.
It serves as the backdrop for the sun, which sets the direction.
When you consciously move in sync with the moon’s cycle, you realign yourself with your natural state of being. You return to your rhythm.
By nature, we move in cycles. Just like the seasons, the moon, and nature, we too experience periods of growth, blossoming, stillness, letting go, and starting anew.
Yet we often live in a society that is primarily structured around a linear rhythm: the clock, the day, the five-day workweek, and the constant drive forward.
During these ceremonies, we honor the feminine principle of cyclical movement and remember what it’s like to move in harmony with the natural rhythms of life. Step by step, we return to a way of life that is more in harmony with our own nature and that of the Earth.
Especially in these times, it is important to consciously continue nurturing our connection to the moon, the earth, and the natural rhythms of life—within ourselves and, by extension, within the collective and the world around us.
During these special evenings, we attune ourselves to the moon’s energy and bring the light principles of harmony and balance into our being. Each ceremony is unique and flows with the seasons, the lunar calendar, and our own inner process.
Set up of the ceremony

We gather in our moon temple, sitting in a circle around the altar. In this way, we recall an ancient way of coming together: in connection with one another, with the earth, and with that which is greater than what we often perceive here at first glance.
I often work with the Sahumador. You’ll receive a personal cleansing and blessing using the sacred smoke of the Sahumador. Herbs or resin are burned in this Copalera chalice. The smoke has a purifying effect, carries your intentions into the universe, and supports the transformation of whatever you wish to let go of. The chalice symbolizes the womb: the place of creation, transformation, and new life.
If the weather is nice, the moon ceremony can take place around the fire, allowing us to integrate the power and presence of this element into the ceremony.
We close the circle together and take time to let the evening’s experiences settle in.
A moon ceremony takes about 2 to 3 hours.
